Description

�Knightfall� was when I first started following Batman more closely in comics outside of TV/movies. Although the event went longer than it should like most do, the AzBats suit designed by Joe Quesada was really cool at the time. Many will remember Kelley Jones doing the covers, but many will forget who did the actual interiors for "Batman" and that was Mike Manley (over 10 issues, while Graham Nolan was on Detective Comics). Around the same time in 1993, Manley also worked on 3 issues of Ghost Rider (including Spirits of Vengeance). To celebrate both of my favorite 90�s characters, I thought it would be creative to put both characters against each other a la DC vs. Marvel. Also, I believe Mike Manley and Andy Kubert are the only artists to have ever worked on both Batman and Ghost Rider titles. However, you may be thinking, �Didn�t Jim Lee work on both Batman and Ghost Rider too?� Yes and no. While he worked on plenty of Batman interiors, he only did three covers for Ghostie and two of them were for the X-Men crossover in which Ron Wagner is credited for the interiors.

Awesome piece !! Loved Manely's work on Batman and really wish his tenure was longer.

Two great 90's flavors pushed together to become a war of grim and gritty! Chains and splatter effects to reflect the popularity of those elements from that time period!
