Description

In many ways, this Apokilips story marked a significant turning point for Ostrander's squad. He used the series to clean house on several characters - probably more than since the earliest days of the series. It was also, in many ways, the last big epic of the run as the latter issues tended to be smaller in scale.

But what a way to begin the slow wind down. In this page alone, we've got Nightshade, Barda, Lashina/Duchess, Cpt Boomerang, Count Vertigo, and Briscoe and Sheba (in their second to last page). Snyder brought a lot of energy to this run on the series. And, I always thought he and Isherwood blended well together.

And was there anyone reading comics in the 80s/90s who didn't love Todd Klein sound effects? In full force in this page.

I got this page as part of a three page lot from Heritage in summer of 2023.
