DescriptionMy first Krazy Sunday--I hope not my last. Herriman is such a genius. I feel lucky to be able to live with this page every day: it's hanging in my office, across from an Ellsworth Kelly. This page has a great provenance--it was formerly in the collection of the National Lampoon great Rick Meyerowitz, and I suspect it hung on his office wall as well.Social/Sharing |

This is a great looking Sunday. The design in particular really impresses me. The symmetry and mirroring is genius. The top two tiers are a single panel with an overlaid panel and the bottom two tiers are a single pane with overlaid panels. Breaking this up is a balanced middle panel. Lots more to talk about just in terms of design like the consistant horizion line acroos panels, the use of contrast, the ever-changing background, a great moon, fun language and a brick. Just great!

You of all people know how much this one means to me, Jeff. Excellent analysis! And it all seems completely intuitive to Herriman. A true genius.
