Been looking for a James Jean piece. Most of the FABLES covers (especially the best ones) are locked away in collections. I'm really enjoying THE ESCAPISTS (written by Brian K. Vaughan). The mini-series is getting an impressive line-up of cover artists including Frank Miller, John Cassaday...and three-time Eisner Award Best Cover Artist winner, James Jean. This is a simple pencil cover, not nearly as complex as some of his more accomplished pieces. But that's part of the charm for me. I usually don't go for pencil pieces...James forced me to make an exception.

A great piece. One I was interested in. And I agree. I am not normally a pencil guy either, but James and Josh Middleton have since changed my mind

Great cover from a great series. . . I would kill for one of Jason Shawn Alexander's interior pages. . .
