What a special page. Pure brilliance!

Al did an Incredible job capturing the look and feel of one of my Favorite films based on one of my favorite books. Color me Hulk Green with envy.

I was in a deal to acquire a key page myself years ago and it fell through on the sellers end.

Williamson captures a lot of the nuances in the acting performances in this early page that would make us understand these characters and their motivations moving forward.  Along with the established future techno noir setting, they set the tone and establish the level of quality the following pages would follow.

John passed?!? Wow, I knew it was coming but it's still somehow "surprising". So sorry to hear that, man. Not much to say about this page now. It's typical of Williamson's brilliance, but made more special now due to its provenance!

This is awesome.  Great storytelling, use of shadow, and such a strong sense atmosphere.  Channels the classic flick while still standing alone as an outstanding sequential example!  Congrats!

I loved Blade Runner.  I loved Al Williamson.  Yet, for some reason, the comic book for me was something I had to look back on later to appreciate, and I think now I know why.  Al's masterful use of chiaroscuro caused no end of difficulty to the colorists and color separation folks, which, for me, created a visually unappealing book at the time.

Look at this page though.  It is so beautiful in black and white.  I would have probably loved the book at the time if it were published in black and white.  Now, years later, I've learned to love it in color too.
