Description

Sanjulian did this painting as cover for the publisher Bastei. It should be another cover for the novel series Mark Hellmann but sadly they stopped the series before it got used.

You really feel the tension of the grip and the body straining to pull the oar through the arms and torso. The tones for textures and lighting using the oils are really sharp.
