DescriptionMy previous Loki commission from Matteo was Heroes 2015 where I asked him to draw Loki with the serpent. I had an idea it'd be fun to get another one in 2025 with a decade between but had a chance to get on his list this year so here we are! Matteo obviously got word what collection this was for as he revisited the serpent to make them a great 'compare and contrast' pair of commissions - along with the ravens and sword that appear in my other Scalera Loki pieces. A lovely surprise when I saw it to see him bring together all my previous pieces of his into a single balanced composition like this. Matteo absolutely killed his NYCC 2023 list as you can see from the others already on CAF. It'll only get harder to get on his list I think. All thanks go to Jason and the crew at Essential Sequential for the assist.Social/Sharing |

So good! Love the clarity in the washes and lines --- the handling is fantastic and Scalera's value control is amazing. Beautiful face, hair, horns, figure, costume, creatures, skulls, and setting. The design of the rocks and coiling snake are delightful

Matteo's commissions are amazing, and this one came out excellent. Also cool to see the progression of his style over the years with your previous commissions. Congrats!
