Description

The fourth piece in the published 4 print set from the Dragon Lady Press. 1987. Toth did a tremendous job on all 4 of these. I was saving the best for last. It was a toss up between this one and the one I'll post in about a weeks time as to which is the best. The design on this one is brilliant.

WWII dogfight between zeros and Curtiss P-40E. You can tell Toth was a big fan by the accuracy of the planes and using his imagination to bring them to action.

WoooooooooW! Look at the composition on this one! Man, was Toth brilliant! So spectacular in composition and design, it's really no wonder why he got so much attention for that. Really fantastic to think that all of this was essentially brushed to the side by mainstream publishers, with the idea that his minimalist style was just to simple and archaic for mainstream comics by the 1980's.
