Daredevil by Mikel Janin

The best month of the year for art collectors must be October. It means the return of "Inktober" for many artists, who then do pieces that they otherwise wouldn't for a price that they otherwise wouldn't.

Among that ever-growing list of artists, was Mikel Janin. The Spanish artist has been a mainstay on "Batman" in recent years, especially Tom King's run. Commissions are scarce & not inexpensive.

His pre-determined list of characters specified that he did not want to do the usual Batman this year. Daredevil was on there & that matched with my interests.

Mikel seemed to have channeled his inner David Mazzucchelli & created this dynamic hornhead. And hey, it's not a Daredevil piece until there's a water tower somewhere in the background. This was done on toned A4-sized paper in pencils & inks.
