It definitely moved the needle in the 90's with more sophisticated animation with the US working with Japan studios to create the  cyberpunk futurism made popular overseas first.

Fantastic series that today can be considered a milestone in the history of animation, which began on MTV in the 1990s. It is a beautiful beginning sequence frame because it is an A1, and it is with a close-up of the main character. I don't know if it's the early episodes where the main character died at the end of each episode and never spoke, or the later 10 episodes where there was dialogue and she didn't die. Yes, even the signature!
