DescriptionFinally got on the Carol Day Train with this strip Carol Day #2701. Couldn't find a solid list of publication dates by strip number but Lee Harmon shared the publication date and even a scan of the newspaper page from when it was printed!I bought this one from 2023 CAF Live because: A) It has some solid cross hatching and a nice panel of Carol Day herself showing off a bit of David Wright's admired techniques. B) It was the most affordable one available. Any artist that almost fades due to the passing of time only to be found again and re-appreciated is a beautiful thing. A talent at it's time is not always fully recognized and those that come after can be the torch bearers and advocates for what shouldn't be forgotten. That's what happened with lil miss Carol Day and Sir David Wright. So Behold!!! Carol Day,a dude, a porsche a building and some trees in strip # 2701 Social/Sharing |

Classy all the way. From subject matter to the manner it is executed.

Congratulations on jumping aboard the train, Adam. A lovely portrait of Carol, a gorgeous Porshe with great looking trees and beautiful architecture!

So glad to see you add this to your collection Adam! Congratulations my friend.
It may become an addiction. These Carol Day's are so nice it is difficult to only stop with a first one. Love the car in the first panel. Outside of having Carol featured in an example there needs to be a vehicle too. David Wright had a passion for those and it shows.
Can tell you that your strip saw publication on Thursday, May 27, 1965 in the Daily Mail newspaper.
