Description

A Bruce McCorkindale re-creation of Curt Swan and Neal Adams's cover art to ACTION COMICS #373. Pen, brush and ink on 13" X 20" Bristol board. Adams brought something fresh to Swan's renditions, as is evident here.

The Neal Adams art brought the fashion of the modern woman of the late 60's and broke the quaint DC Superman house style. Marvel made DC look old fashioned, but Neal was now able to make DC girls look hip. McCorkindale is able to mimic both artists here for a very fine result.
