DescriptionPublished 1960 by King Features Syndicate"The Game Warden of Saturn" written by Harry Harrison. The strip ran from 11/27/1960 to 2/19/1961 and this is the first strip of the story. The story was reprinted in Mac Raboy's Flash Gordon Volume 3 by Dark Horse in 2003 and also in the Comics Revue magazine in 2019. Mac Raboy is best known for his work on Captain Marvel jr. for Fawcett and Flash Gordon which he drew for over 20 years. Harry Harrison is best known as a Science Fiction writer with over 50 novels to his name. His career started as an illustrator for EC comics working with Wally Wood. Social/Sharing |

Now here's something I didn't expect to see in your collection! I mean, I guess with it being a well known Science Fiction property I probably shouldn't be surprised, but it being a Sunday newspaper strip does throw me off a bit! Cool to see it, though, as Raboy's brush work on this strip was outstanding and worth of being in anyone's collection.

Yeah, I am not a strip collector per se, but I have seen the Flash Gordon strips and admired Raboy's art. And I wanted an example of it.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured. They're beautiful, so it's well worth having one!
