Published Monday, May 22, 1950. This is the first strip of Nick's second storyline on Tarzan.
I didn't know it when I acquired it but this strip is significant because it's the first strip where Nick's signature appears on the art.
I guess he passed the audition.
Note how his signature in panel 2 differs from the one in strip 3368 (panel 3). This strip features Nick's script signature which is common in his personal art. Strip 3368 has a version of Nick's printed signature which seemed to be more common for the next 20+ years.
As indicated by "por Edgar Rice Burroughs", these strips were also printed in Spanish. In fact the yellowing on the lettering is from the Spanish lettering that had been glued over the English lettering. You'll see this on a lot of Nick's Tarzan strips that were sold for Nick by Spencer Beck (of The Artist's Choice) in the early-mid 1990's.
The title, Sound of Trouble, is written on the back of the art.
