This page came from Superboy 75. The issue was an interlaced flashback of Superboy watching as events unfolded, unable to help, as he had recently lost his powers.

Kon-El has a chat with the Wild Men in the abandoned area of Habitat. Being as how it was abandoned, Howler claimed it in the name of King Tuftan. The trio asks Superboy to come with them as they explore the world. Even though it's tempting, the kid says he can't just now. All he ever wanted was to lead his superhero life and now everything has been ripped from him. The Wild Men tell him just how remarkable the real world is and he realizes how totally clueless he is to it.

The Wildmen first appeared during Kessel and Grummett’s Superboy storyline from issues 50-54 that served as an homage to Jack Kirby's Kamandi: The Last Boy on Earth. Many of the characters such as Prince Tuftan, Dr Canus, and Sacker came directly from Kamandi, while the Wildmen, Gorr, Howler, and Growler were added to the land of Roam, and became supporting characters in Superman and Cadmus’ adventures!

Grummett’s work here is top notch and I love the interaction with these characters! So lucky to be able to pick up this page!!!
