Being a character designer like Cockrum, he must have taken account of the colors they would use when putting the page together. No only does it have the usual Marvel excellence of action and emotion, but it presents so well on the printed page. Even though Kang and Wonder Man wear green, they don't really color mix them together until they thematically team up at the end against Thor.

Superb Avengers page by the incredible Dave Cockrum! Love all the characters on this one page--Hawkeye, Wonder Man, Thor and, of course, Kang! Dave Cockrum was such a talented artist that he could draw anyone and here he shows off his well-honed skills. Gorgeous inks by the great Frank Giella as well. What a terrific pick-up, congrats!
