C’m’on everyone; it’s been two days and no one has made the obvious comment. If I must then:
"Can you hear the drums, Fer-Nando?”
Marcus must be on his break.
HA! my parents would play that song a lot when i was little but this never occurred to me.
i always associate that song with scott ian (anthrax) though b/c there was a vh1 special on abba and he talks about how great that song was. this sdcc i remember being starstruck at ian just walking around like it was nothing. i remember brian azzarello (sp?) signing something for me and then looking up and asking "was that scott ian?!".
When I was a lot younger I remember a joke going around that you could divide the world into two types of people: those who liked Abba, and those who would not admit to liking Abba. Your anecdote lays to rest the idea that anyone should be embarrassed to say that they like Abba if Scott Ian is a fan. I am impressed that you met and had something signed by Brian Azz – one of my favourite writers – but I would not know Scott Ian if he was standing next to me in the line/queue to get into the cinema which shows what an antique I am, together with the fact that it was your parents who played a lot of Abba when you were small. I guess I should sign off on a musical note by quoting what I heard Suggs say once: You have made a happy man very old. (You have quite the collection of convention sketches – very impressive!)
