Description
I knew absolutely nothing of this series beforehand, but the image here really caught my eye. Not just for the bright blue glowing fish in a sea of black (though that helps), but also because of the stillness and motion in the piece. Her expression is frozen solid (with some sadness behind the tears), while her hair is floating in midair (with the aforementioned glowing fish) to suggest that there's something more going on at the same time. The colors and lighting on this are just phenomenal, and this is another one of the few times where I bought a piece of art despite having no connection (or knowledge) of the source material (guess I better go check out the book now!). The funny part is that, when Frany's first art drop was announced at Next Comic Art, I thought I would go for one of the Buffy covers, and this blew them out of the water (pun intended).

Thanks, Jiggy (and Frany)!

Man, all of the gradients of blue and grey vs the stark black...some sublime stuff.  I'm sure that much better in person, too.  Congrats!

You are correct Kahlil. Saw this piece in person recently and no scan could do a good enough job capturing these stunning colors. So much more going on within this art's pallette when viewing it.

We do get all the fine composition viewing it here. Thanks for posting and sharing this with us Kin!

The visuals are way cool!  Medusa like tendrils that freeze you in your tracks to hold your attention.

Electrified!  Frany is at the top of her color theory game.
