Leonard Kirk, MI13 (Black Knight, Pete Wisdom, Excalibur and Captain Midlands) vs. the Mindless Ones

This mission is going to leave a permanent mark! But for now, we witness the toll it’s taking on the Black Knight. Dane Whitman collapses in the middle of a fight against the Mindless Ones, after learning that the “sword” he’s wielding is some nasty thing imitating the real Ebony Blade. Nice half-splash with shots of mutant energy-caster Pete Wisdom; the wielder of Excalibur, Faiza Hussain, whose code name is the same as her sword’s; and the UK’s contribution to the 1940s’ super-soldier program, Captain Midlands. There were three credited inkers for this issue, but the abundance of little hatching details looks like main inker Michael Bair to me. (And you’d think he’d get to the first page before needing an assist.)
