Description
This is special. Doug Hansen is/was a local artist who did some underground stuff, including something that was in Slow Death #2, I think, which was given to me by a friend of my mother's long before I found myself walking into my first/only local Comic Art Festival with her in 1979, where he was appearing along with Frank Brunner, Alfredo Alcala, Don Rico, Trina Robbins and quite a few others, all significant to me at the time, and still today.
Doug Hansen, on the one hand prolific locally with a newspaper feature that illustrated notable local buildings, including one at Stanislaus and O St, where I twice lived in one of the upstairs apartments of the building. Most memorably, watching The Night Stalker on it's phenomenal original broadcast. I may have run screaming when the refrigerator of blood was opened. I may have finished watching it. I never got over it.
On the other hand, his comic art is a rare sighting on the market,
perhaps twice before I saw something available.
This piece could be the last I ever get, and it would be perfect for that.
It's funny what matters.

As underground as it gets!  They always work like this is the last sheet of paper they have and go fit in wall to wall with as much art and story as possible.
