So Neil Gaiman had a specialty auction on Heritage to raise money for charity. He put up items from his personal collection that he was willing to let go so that someone else could enjoy them and he could help people.

There were several Sandman pieces as well as a few Dave McKean pieces that caught my eye (all of them went for big bucks). The night before the auction, they did a walkthrough of the lots, hosted by Neil Gaiman himself. This piece caught my eye. Neil relayed that this was done for a poem that he had written about the saints of Iona in the Outer Hebrides. It sounded like a right interesting story too. A few years back, we spent a few weeks in the Outer Hebrides in the summer ... and it is a magical place. So I had to have it.

This stares into your soul! Zulli's combo of ink and paints should have inspired Gaiman's poetry to come out right there during the walk through...

Wow, this is some of the best work I've ever seen by Zulli and because it features Jesus Christ without muscular or big breasted superheroes, it was also undoubtedly affordable. Bang for your buck is what this hobby should be about!
