crocodile dundee original poster concept

Brian Clinton's concept for the original australian poster of "Crocodile Dundee" (1986). I think the US release used a different work, painted by Goozee, but this was the one I first saw. The composition is almost final, but you can see how he tweaked a couple of things here and there.

The final poster artwork recently found its way back to Clinton: when the film came out, it was handed as a gift to the CEO of the Carlton United Brewery, since the company commissioned the artwork for the film (they liked it so much it was adapted for the poster). After 35 years of hanging at the CEO's office, he reached Brian to see if he wanted it returned (in case you’re wondering, he's absolutely not interested in selling it)(see additional pics).
