Wayne Vansant - The 'Nam - issue 16 page 25 (1988)

This series ran for several years and was a square peg in the round hole of my comic book collecting. The stories were good enough, but the way the stories always involved different characters (as I remember it) seemed to turn me off buying it on a regular basis. I'd buy an issue every seven or eight months because it felt like I should ... kind of like doing yard work.

I bought two 'Nam pages a couple of decades ago. The art seems both simplistic and nuanced in a way that tells more than it seems at first glance. Everything about it is deceptively better than it seems.

One reason I chose these pages is I've always appreciated Geoff Isherwood's work. Pencils or inks, I wanted to get something by him. This (and my other 'Nam page) are what I have.
