Description

This was my first time participating in the CAF Live Mystery Sketch. I wanted to do something unconventional, but still within the realm of my collection, so I gave choices. Miller's Ronin, Conan, or Supergirl in the costume from last year's Flash movie. I think that Roi made a good choice, but with his skills, I believe he could have done justice to any character. His style is reminiscent of Olivier Coipel and Esad Ribic, two modern artists that are doing great work. I'm happy to have gotten this great mystery sketch and look forward to next time.

I really like how he uses value to denote form, and pen and ink skills to add in detail as needed. The colors are beautiful and vibrant and the yellow in the background makes everything pop.

A lot of the drawing and detail is in the watercolor itself making this mostly a painting. For a mystery "sketch", this is stellar.

Definitely see some Coipel in those colors, which is a good thing of course! Really dig the dileneation of musculature and figure with just the different shades of blue. Congrats, man!
