Toth the businessman decides he's not going to risk kidnapping any more torture victims for Dorka the vampire sadist. They discuss the matter in front of the captive detective Farkas:
“You don't seem surprised to see me.”
“One of the trained apes you sent to take me out… ended up singing.”
“You're an idiot, Toth. I told you I'd take care of him.”
“I didn't think you were capable of it, seeing as you can't even get yourself the girls you have fun with.”
“I assure you she could do it herself, but she's too smart… She prefers to remain unnoticed… You don't know who she is, do you? Speaking of which… for being almost five hundred years old, you look great.”
“You're funny, Detective. But you don't make me laugh.”
“What the hell is he saying? What does that mean?”
“Ha ha! You really don't know who you're with?”
“I don't know and I honestly don't care, seeing as I'm done with our partnership now. You asked me to provide you with girls, but you didn't tell me what you wanted to do with them. The police are breathing down my neck, and when they find out that Farkas disappeared after being seen at one of my clubs, the air will become heavy for me.”
“Do you want to back out, Toth?”
“The game is not worth the entry fee. Why did you need to bring him here? Couldn't you have closed his account somewhere else?”
“And miss the show? After all he did to find his girlfriend, the least I could do was let them meet… for the last time.”
“Then you really are a sadist, like your countess.”
“As for you, Toth… You disappoint me, dissolving our partnership just when I was starting to have fun.”
“I just did the math, Dorka. You pay well, but it's better to live with a few debts and a couple of loan sharks on your tail, than rot in jail.”
I'm sure Dorka will be fine with this turn of events, right? Vampire serial killers are known for their empathy.
