Bad @$$!
Colan's style was perfect for this book. Brilliant cover!
The perfect Colan billowing cape! Makes me wonder if he was a big influence on Kelly Jones. Very cool pick up!
Bill J only posts BANGERS in his CAF Gallery!
This is simply one of the most spectacular covers of Gene's glorious 1970s run, must be a bloody knock-out piece in person, huge congrats !
Great cover with Dracula front and center.
I feel like Gene Colan is vastly underrated. His pencilling at times may have been a challenge for inkers, but once he paired with ones that knew how to handle him, the art just transcends! This is one such example
This is a fantastic Colan cover! Top tier composition and the ink work from Palmer is just magnificent. The shadows of Dracula's cloak work extremely well here.
I especially like all of the wood we see on this cover! Dracula has been caught with his fangs out in the barn. We not only get the quintessential wooden stakes and crossbow, but this is all going down on 2x6 rough hardwood plank flooring! Huge congrats on this beauty, Bill!
This really is THE BIG ONE!
WOWZA!!---INCREDIBLE COVER!!---GREAT PICKUP BILL!!
Colan and Palmer truly outdid themselves on this cover. It’s a masterclass in visual storytelling. The composition is lovely and rich with tension. I love how Colan drew Dracula’s outstretched cloak, forming a stark, almost angelic silhouette as he shields his dark “holy family” from the hunters. Colan’s pencils capture the desperation and defiance in Dracula’s posture, while Palmer’s inking bathes the scene in haunting chiaroscuro which heightens the sense of drama. This is a fabulous cover because on top of being well drawn, it tells a whole story in a single, unforgettable scene. Congrats, Bill!
Wow, Bill!! This cover looks even better in black and white!! The details on the wood planks are even incredible.
Incredible!! Congrats!!
The whole cast is there for this special occassion of a birth cover of their golden angel. Colan and Palmer promises The Big One and Domini delivers! This long running series needed new blood and just like long running TV shows, introducing a baby is the way to go!
Wow, congrats on adding this stunning cover Bill!
Fantastic Colan magic, and as others have said, even more eerie and effective in black and white!! Great pick up Bill!
Yeah, that's as masterpiece as it can get for the team up of Colan and Palmer. Absolutely incredible cover! The symbolism and the imagery are truly something special to behold. Congrats on adding another stellar cover piece Bill!
Great cover from this legendary duo.
Cool cover Bill, and the gangs all here with Blade on the sidelines for support ,so to speak ! Fantastic 70's cover !
This is absolutely a masterpiece--a dynamic, powerful cover with lush inks that perfectly complement Colan's pencils. Truly outstanding!
Beautiful!
Man, it's been a minute since I've read the Bible - this is way different than I remember...
Excellent cover!
Congrats Bill and hope you enjoy the cover as much as I did! Best...
This sure beats a steak through the heart! Another killer drop!
To me, Gene Colan was the perfect choice on a title like this. His style is perfectly showcased on this cover and the inking by Tom Palmer is the icing on the Dracula cupcake!
Geez! Dracula doesn't even get one moment to be a proud papa before everyone is surrounding him with their weapons drawn! What a powerful and beautifully drawn cover scene!! I absolutely love Tom Palmer's inks on this one. Of course when you have the masterful pencils of Gene Colan to work with, it sure helps a lot! I can see why you would be totally delighted to add this one to your amazing collection. Congrats!!
Wow - this dramatic cover tells a story and has all the favorite folk, congrats!
Colan was materful with his composition and this cover certainly demonstartes his talent. Love his rednsiton of Dracula taking cente rstage is this epic looking cover. ANOTHER great pick up to your amazing collection.
Magic cover by the magic masters - congratulations my friend great pièce!
Character and composition wise you can't beat this with any other Dracula cover. BIG CONGRATS!!!
Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! You actually believe that toy hurt Dracula? Prince of Evil, Lord of Darkness Dracula? Then you are a bigger fool than I thought. Your weapon is meaningless against me, human. Meaningless!
Brilliant acquisition! The light and shadows are indeed very cool as is the composition with focus on Dracula. And the wooden textures provide depth and richness.
Wow! What a great cover! Congrats!
Wow, stunning Colan & Palmer Dracula cover, classic, everything works, big congrats!!
Colan/Palmer is just magical.
Wow, this must look great up close. Colan did a wonderful pencil job & layout, while the Palmer inks are masterful. What an awesome addition to your collection!
Gorgeous!
This is one awesomely evil cover!
Loved when Marvel embraced the classic horror film monsters. Great addition to a stellar collection
One of my favorite titles from the 70s. I love it!

Superb and memorable cover from a perfect art team (that for me really synched around issue 40 of the series)
This cover shows why you should never invite Blade to a baby shower. (That's a great looking cover!)
Great image! Sweet cover!
No one else can do Dracula like Colan. Perfect example of a cover, congrats!!!
Congratulations on adding such a perfect cover to your collection. You must be over the moon with this one.
Beautiful cover! The wonderful, dense and tense composition highlights the towering presence of Dracula, fully prepared to defend his son and her mother... Who wouldn't want to open that book?
This is Gene Colan at his absolute peak. What a beautifully atmospheric cover. And just look at those luscious inks by Tom Palmer! This was the peak of Marvel's Dracula and this cover is a sterling example of why that was. Congratulations!
Colan goodness - perfect cover, congrats!
Colan & Palmer. A cover. A horror cover, at that...with a little bit of everything. Damn, Bill - this is a super special one!!
Stunning TOD cover
A true masterpiece of mood and menace! Congrats on owning such an iconic piece!
Fantastic piece. Are Colan's pencils on this? I know Palmer light-boxed some of the later covers.
What a cool cover. Nice pickup, Bill!
Colan was the perfect artist at the perfect time to draw this book. What an amazing cover.
I'd die to have an early Blade cover appearance. Preferably by the fangs of Vampirella.
This is a great one from the run - congrats, Bill!
Colan and Palmer captured and rendered better than anyone else the essence of thta Night Creature! An extraordinary cover by one of the best duos of the Bronze Age. It would be impossible to understand TOMB run without Gene Colan. Huge congrats! (It is just unbeliveable your capacity of upgrading your collection!)
Incredible Iconic cover!!!!
Such a well composed and thoughtful cover. It immediately tells a story, and then provides some great detail to flesh it out. I love all the Vampire-specific weapons being brandished. Very cool!
Congrats on getting the second best cover of the series. (The first just beats it out.) Very iconic.
Gene's art was so moody and his style was a perfect fit for this title. A true legend! Congrats.
Bill, soon the government is going to declare eminent domain on your collection and put it all in a museum. What a stunner!
It never ceases to amaze me how you can easily switch between modern and Bronze Age art like this. Congrats on another lovely addition to the collection!
It's easy to see why Colan's work on Tomb of Dracula is still the stuff of legends to this day. A fabulous example of his amazing work on that title.
Bill, your cover is AMAZING. A WONDERFUL
Excellent page!!!
A blast from the past that holds up so well!
Magnificent cover! Colan was my favorite Bronze Age artist in the Marvel Bullpen. For me, his stint on this horror series informed and elevated all the shadowy work he later did with Batman, Howard the Duck, and especially DD
