Description
Published 1954 by Magazine Enterprises

Contains stories possibly written by Gardner Fox and drawn by Fred Meagher.

White Indian began in the back pages of Durango Kid #1 (November, 1949), and starred Dan Brand.
Dan was lying near death, when Great Eagle, chief of the Catawbas, and his young son, Tipi, found him and nursed him back to health. He was subsequently adopted into their tribe
It is notable as it was created by Frank Frazetta and an unknown writer.

I've got a cover and this time a bear there's no one to save me
This art I'm loving really got Bolle of driving me crazy

I need my body to heal
My body to know
My Tipi to have
My buddy Eagle
Its Tipi's to say
But this cover's insane
I guess Catawba liked the way you numbed all the pain

Now the Dan bleeds
Into nightfall
And you're not here
To get me through Eagle
I let my guard down
And then you pulled bear rug
I was getting kinda used to seeing White Indian

My sister and her husband used to dock their boat at Catawba Island on Lake Erie.  What a coincidence.  Way cool cover and a wonderful piece of comic book history.

Wow, a Golden Age cover of the Frazetta creation, how cool is this? You do have a way of surprising with some of the things you have in your collection, from time to time!
