Description

Not a splash page, more like a paddling page...

The first printing of the Jaws novel had a more abstract looking shark and swimmer.

Roger's version was used for successive printings and the movie poster. The art was so definitive that this is believed to be the first time a new work was not created for a movie poster.

A pencil recreation of just the swimmer from the Jaws book cover/poster. Drawn on an 11 x 14 board with a gesso primer. Then sprayed with a fixative. Signed on the back.

Jaws was written by Peter Benchley.
