Description
This 11"x17" commission on 2-ply board was inked over the original pencils of new artist to the commission gallery Ruairi Coleman. It's my 125th job for Damon Owens who created this for his gallery theme "Heroes Redrawn", a play on the late 1990s Marvel events "Heroes Reborn" & "Heroes Return", which requests the commissioned penciller to adapt a classic page into their own style and contemporary storytelling. The source for this one was Avengers #38 with interior art by Don Heck & George Bell/Roussos. Attached is the image of the original published page and Coleman's pencils. Completed March 13, 2025.

I couldn't find any other commissions with Hercules but I've done several with Goliath/Giant-Man:
-Hank Pym: this is my 2nd after an MC Wyman from 2004
-Clint Barton: I've done 1 with him as Goliath by Jose Luis
-Bill Foster: : in both Goliath & GM identities I've inked him 4 times by Brett Booth, Cedric Nocon and 2 by Darryl Banks.

Happy to be the first to bring Marvel's Lion of Olympus to the Inkwell for the first time!  Note: it isn't the first time you've inked "a" Hercules though.  You inked Charlton's Hercules on an "End of Days" paged penciled by Ron Joseph for me.
