Description
I ordered a pre-show commission from Ian for IC3 which blew my mind. When I found out that he had an art book (Erratica vol 1: Shif of Essence), I knew I wanted to get a copy in order to explore the crazy stuff that Ian comes up with. When you buy a copy of Ian's art book, he will draw a remarque in the front of the book but it's artist choice only. I bought the book during the show, but Ian told me he would draw in it later that night at the after party so he could put a little more time into it. I didn't know what to expect and frankly, I don't know what I ended up with. This is weird and grotesque like something out of a John Carpenter or David Cronenberg film. And that places it firmly in my wheelhouse. This is creepy in a way that makes me wonder about Ian's childhood, especially considering he seems like such a nice and well adjusted individual in person. For fellow creator that got a copy of Erratica, Ian was doing portraits of the artist in a similar vein. For example, I got to see a drawing of Chris Anderson that's pure nightmare fuel. It was cool as hell. This is more than just a remarque, this is a unique piece of art unto itself and I decided that it was worthy of it's own entry here on CAF so everyone could see it.

Great creature feature body horror design!  So sick!  Cinco must have been inspired by movie practical effects for his surreal imagination to be so free and wild.

Ian is a true talent and seeing him just bust this out was impressive. Top quality remarque and he's a wonderful guy to boot. Nice one!

Frankly, I don't know what you ended up with either, but it's beautifully grotesque!

cool! trippy lookng piece with elements out of sci-fi and monsters mashed together to make something unique. certainly feels more like an illustration than a remarque, looking forward to seeing the Stingray piece too (assumption lol)
