wow you could absolutely get lost looking at all the background details in this illustration for days! the Azrael/Batman mid-air struggle battle is at the center but everything else is what makes the piece really great

This should be a stained glass window for the Church of the Bat.

Azrael is pretty notorious for destroying a good stained glass window. Many a temple, church, and cathedral have also gone up in flames as the result of an inevitable brawl when Azrael is present. 🔥

I like how all the little angels or flower girls are smiling about Azreal whuppin' Batman's @$$. 

Stunning commission with Azrael and Batman smashing through a stained glass window as they battle one another. Absolutely breathtaking art by Kevin Castaniiero! I love this piece not for the action, but for the splendor of the incredible Cathedral they are fighting in. Cataniero does an amazing job of creating this magnificent church. I love the glorious stained glass windows flanking the large one they are breaking through, as well as the dozens of crosses that line the bottom of the illustration. It's these beaufitul details that catch my eye even more than the two guys duking it out. Splendid pick-up, congrats!
