Description
Absolutely stoked to get the original pencils for this page, one of the most heartrending sequences in all of Hulk history. The work Joe puts into his comic art is mind-blowing, the detail has to be seen up close to be believed - but more than that, the emotional content here is next level.
I've put more detail about the context of this story on the inked version of this page which I got a few years back, but just read the printed page - heck, go read or re-read the entire Immortal Hulk run!
Ewing nailed the storytelling, Bennett nailed the art - dream team.

Thanks a million to Dave from Jade Giant Art for giving me the chance to acquire one of my all-time favourite pages from ANY comic book!

There were definitely many emotional moments in this book. Joe Bennett's art on this run was perfect for the tone Al Ewing wanted to set. Just wonderful - congrats Steve!

Thanks for showing the Bennett/Ewing love, T! Totally agree - for me, Immortal Hulk is his most epic and emotional run, almost impossible to follow - which is perhaps why we got the nonsense of Starship Hulk immediately afterwards.

This is actually my favourite page of the entire arc, defining the trauma and tragedy of the Hulk in just a few powerful panels. I'm lucky enough to have both penciled and inked original versions, both of which are amazing.

Thanks Danielle! Joe Bennett's Hulk is certainly one of my favourites visually - add his skill to Al Ewing's writing power and the whole Immortal Hulk run is essential reading for any fan of the character!
