Val Kilmer (1959 - 2025) RIP

Batman, Doc Holiday, Jim Morrison, or Top Gun's Iceman. Take your pick. Those iconic performances (as well as roles in over 70 other films, including Heat, Willow, True Romance, Real Genius, The Saint, Wonderland, and Ghost in the Darkness) are more than enough to cement Val Kilmer's legacy in Hollywood. Few actors could immerse themselves into a role as convincingly as Kilmer. There's a saying, the most committed wins. And if you've seen his performances as Jim Morrison and Doc Holiday, it's hard to imagine any other actor being so fully committed to the character. Roger Ebert once said of Kilmer, "if there is an award for the most unsung leading man of his generation, Kilmer should get it."
