DescriptionBatman, Doc Holiday, Jim Morrison, or Top Gun's Iceman. Take your pick. Those iconic performances (as well as roles in over 70 other films, including Heat, Willow, True Romance, Real Genius, The Saint, Wonderland, and Ghost in the Darkness) are more than enough to cement Val Kilmer's legacy in Hollywood. Few actors could immerse themselves into a role as convincingly as Kilmer. There's a saying, the most committed wins. And if you've seen his performances as Jim Morrison and Doc Holiday, it's hard to imagine any other actor being so fully committed to the character. Roger Ebert once said of Kilmer, "if there is an award for the most unsung leading man of his generation, Kilmer should get it."

Val is a loss. He did however appear in one of the most unintentionally funny films I have ever seen. I blame the script, not him. Not on your photomantage of some of his more famous roles.

You mentioned the film that cracked me up in your description. My brother, sister and I nearly died laughing at one of the scenes in The Saint. More than once actually. He must have done it for the money.

I haven't seen all of them. But I've seen my share of Val Kilmer movies. Definitely an under-appreciated actor.
