“Emote III” by Erica Williams

Erica Williams recently held a sale in their shop to raise money for an art class they were wanting to enroll in. Of course as soon as I saw that I simply had to see what pieces were available. This piece had been recently added to the shop and I had loved it when I first saw it so I couldn’t help but pick it up. I mean what’s better then helping an artist further themselves in their artistic career? Always love it when I can help artists I enjoy like that. Look forward to seeing what they learn and how they develop it into their art.

Erica’s art is always so beautiful intricate and this stunning piece is no exception. The water lilies are so beautifully detailed. I love the use of pink and gold to really make those beautiful blooms pop from the lily pads. Such a simple use of color but it adds so much to the design of the piece. The composition is fantastic with the lovely ladies lounging amongst the lilies. I love the way her hair cascades and intertwines with the lily pads. Such a wonderful piece by this amazing artist and one I’m so happy to have in my collection.
