Description

With the hype surrounding Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+, I felt compelled to tackle the Man Without Fear again on a different format. Admittedly I've never worked on a pre-colored blank cover before, so this presented some challenges. Regardless, I manned up and met them to the best of my ability. Here we have Daredevil ready for battle in the shadow of his penultimate nemesis, The Kingpin. With mixed media, acrylic highlights included, I did my best to use the color of the canvas to define the figure better than I did several years back. Although a simplistic composition, I wanted to channel the essence of those classic Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli images of DD back in the 80s. It was a tight balancing act but one that thankfully worked out beautifully. I'm extremely proud of this piece. You can also find this item for sale in my "Art for Sale" gallery.
