congrats on winning the HA dogfight to secure this original pin-up piece so memorable from your childhood! It is extreme to wrestle between spikes in both directions but hey, it sure looks pretty freaking cool! Having stuff from the first comic you read of a series is super special.
Congrats on surviving the dogfight to secure this, Michael! I can assure you that even after all these years, the idea that they could ever actually be wrestling on a platform filled with spikes is STILL absolutely ludicrous! But, it does make for a very pretty visual!
Superb pin-up from Savage Sword of Conan by Fred Carrillo! What a killer scene with Conan wrestling another warrior on a platform covered in sharp spikes above and below. Love the way Fred rendered the musculature of Conan. It's practically an anatomy lesson in how to draw muscles. Strong lighting helps make this scene more dramatic, with strong blacks silhouetting each platform and the background illuminated with streaks of light. Gorgeous pick-up, congrats!
