DescriptionThis has got to be one of the most joyously goofy pages in my collection!First off, great design and pencils by Gil Kane, with a really elastic feel very reminiscent of Carmine Infantino - who, my brother reliably informs me, Kane was working under at the time - and you can see the influence. It really works for me in this hilariously educational fight, where each brawling member of the Metal Men feels the need to explain their powers in detail while they duke it out - you know, for the kids! And who doesn't love some classic BIFF-BAM-POW sound effects? It's pure, shameless, Silver Age fun! Social/Sharing |

Oh yeah! Those slapstick elements drew me right in! It's just pure comic book silliness, one of the best elements of the Silver Age. And Kane delivers with the very best of them!
