I've really wanted a McGuinness Superman piece since I entered the published OA hobby.
I've been the underbidder on multiple pages, a Splash that was mysteriously removed from auction and twice on the same DPS. I thought my fate was to "always (be) a bridesmaid, (and) never a bride". However, it looks like my day has finally come.

I was a rabid follower when Our Worlds At War was coming out in the various Superman titles. As a frequent Wednesday Warrior at the now defunct Comics Ink shop on Overland in Culver City, I anticipated each chapter from week to week! In my mind, the event was a perfect showcase for Superman taking on all comers in battle if anything else!

The cover features an impressive clash between Superman and Imperiex (the Big Bad of the Our Worlds At War event)!

Also of interest, it looks like the original cover features Strange Visitor, Steel and the Eradicator. Alternatively, the published cover adds what I presume are some art patches of other defeated heroes, such as Wonder Woman, Superboy, Kyle Rayner, Mongal, and replaces the Eradicator with Martian Manhunter.

This is also a three-time published cover, on the original Secret Files Issue, the TPB and the upcoming Omnibus of Our Worlds At War!

Congratulations! Being the bridesmaid so many times has ultimately paid off with a really great example! That it's a multi-use cover is just a bonus. The real treat being that it's an exciting, dynamic cover. Sweet!

Yes! Absolutely love you got this! Classic battle cover image and McGuinness...just did his THING on Supes, didn't he? Add Cam Smith's deft ink accentuation and you got a super super piece here, man. Congrats!
