Such beautiful clean linework.  Not counting the intended splatter of course.  The perfect page for a Punisher fan.  Congrats Chris!

Such a beautiful and impactful (Pun intended) (double pun intended) page! Congrats! I'm surprised Alberto hasn't weighed in yet with a comment about Cap > Punisher, but we know the truth!

Yeah, Cap had to set things straight with Punisher.  Even if Punisher was on his team, their philosophies were far apart.  No matter what happened to Cap, he didn't want his side to win doing it the Punisher's way.

Excellently illustrated page, pencils and inks! Classic clash between the hero and the vigilante. Kudos, Chris!

This is a great page, McNiven's detailed and meticulously crafted pencils with Vines slick inks, make this page a home run. Backgrounds be damned to focus on the action at hand, and look at that gun! Stunning work. Great page. Also nice to be a part of the acquisition(enabler), a fun day of auction watching with friends.

Nice to see your collection expanding.  Next time though, try and pick something where Frank is winning please and thank you!

Such an iconic page, and McNiven was at his best for these books. I so clearly remember reading this and was just blown away by the story, the representation of the characters and the art. This is a HUGE add to your collection - congrats on this and then some!!

This is STUNNING, Chris - an unbelievable add!  I truly think that being able to display -any- page from this project would be something to crow about, but to show such a key, indelible moment from the series (and one centered around a favorite character!) is really, really special.  And the page is dripping with that McNiven flair, too, locking into not only the power (and sincerity!) of the violence on the page, but capturing the emotional timbre as well: the look of shock/horror/GENUINE anger on Cap's face in panel 1, the detail on Frank's weapons (along with Frank's body language), Frank's stubble in panel 2...  I feel like we rarely see Cap uncentered and out of control emotionally, but this is one of those times, where his heartbreak, disappointment, and outrage at Frank's choice on the previous couple pages gets the better of him and he expresses his displeasure in the only language Frank will understand...  Just fantastic, powerful storytelling.

And adding Mark Morales's brilliant inks on top of that is just cheating, right?  Panel 1's spatter of blood adds an splash of anarchic energy to the almost fine art-level of detail of McNiven's pencils (and bright white background)... and that gorgeous shield in panel 2 (on the solid black background)...  McNiven and Morales have a powerhouse right that rivals Cap's.

Titanic add, Chris - what a pick up!  HUGE congrats!

Whoa - thank you, Chris - You're far too kind sir.
(and apologies - Dexter Vines did the inks, not Mark Morales!  Very sorry, Dex, but I hope the sincere appreciation of your incredible work here is clear!)
