The Mystery Legionnaire!
written by Cary Bates

Page 5 of story

Klim recalls his capture and beheading by the Legionnaires.
Meanwhile the Legionnaires examine the lab that his body escaped from.

Back to difficulty the writers understanding of Chemical King's powers. The process of freezing oxygen in the air to solidify it is a physical process not a chemical process. Traditionally processes were separated as chemical or physical. Where chemical processes involve changes in the chemical composition of a substance, while physical processes involve changes in the appearance, state, or form of a substance without altering its chemical identity. So Chemical King should not have been able to freeze the oxygen in the air.
Some scientists are now arguing that difference between a chemical process and a physical process is arbitrary, however at the time this story was written, the accepted science was that there was a distinction between chemical and physical processes.

I wanted to be with you Action
And talk about beheader
Illustrations I can trace against the Klim in the face
Won't escape my detention

You keep your distance via concealment of brush
And Winslow persuasion
I'm lost in insulation, could I Legion this much?
Oh, you're wasting in time
You're just, just, just wasting time

Something happens Abel’s head over heels
I never find out until Klim’s head over heels
Something happens and I'm head over heels
Ah, don't take my art, don't break my art
Don't, don't, don't throw it away

Know it’s a page, know it’s a page

I may now fire, and watching Klim burn
Thought of your future
With one foot in the past, now just three seconds it lasts?
Now, now, now, have you no propulsions?

My mother and my brothers used to need Legionnaires
And dreaming I'm do-gooder
It's hard to be a man when there's not one for your head
Oh, I feel soooooo

One of the few things that has always stayed with me from grade 10 Chemistry is exactly what you explained here, Miki, the difference between what our teacher referred to as a Physical "change" and a chemical "change". When the properties of the substance undergoes an actual change, then it's chemical. Like paper that gets burned, for instance. But when the change is only ion appearance, then itthe change is physical, like ice cubes melting.

I'm never mad at seeing a few floating head panels!
