DescriptionThis one checks two boxes for me. My first Simonson art and my first Goblin Queen page.Simonson is an acquired taste for me. I stumbled onto his art after several years away from comics and his quirky style was very alien to me. But now, after having had the benefit to take in his work on titles such as Thor, X-Factor and FF, I can see what he was doing. Great, different, Kirbyesque art with a totally unique style. Similarly, I met Madelyine right in the middle of the Inferno storyline. Could not understand the character 'till I reconstructed her back history. Great, tragic character indeed. Inferno has the resonance of a Greek tragedy. In fact, Medea killed her children to punish her husband's infidelity. And so is Madelyne seeking to do to her and Scott's son, later to become Cable. Tragic stuff indeed! So glad to have a page from this amazing chapter of Claremont's X-Men saga (I know this is Louise Simonson script, yet...). And - look - there is a tiny Wolverine with claws unsheathed! Bonus! Social/Sharing |

Oh, man. Any page of Inferno is a gem to me, and even more so if it's by Walter Simonson. Congratulations

Fantastic layout by an artist with a very personal touch. The plot is a modern classic. Well chosen, congrats !

Simonson is famous for his run on FF, but he definitely gave his best graphically on X-Factor. Beautiful page, Carlo!
