Executer got your tongue?! I think you meant to say, that is Wonder Woooooow!
Lets cut (not with an executioners axe) to the chase, I think you meant to say, That is Wonder Woooooowman!
omg
Stunning, wow! Congrats
Surprised to see that this beautiful piece has changed hand again so soon.
Congratulations. A tremendous piece of comic history.
ohhh what a gem!! CONGRATZZ
Congrats on a great pickup!
Looking forward to seeing it on your wall!
This is gorgeous and historic!
Classic!
That is a truly iconic piece of art
The shadows produce sharp contrast to accompany the tense scene. Great stuff.
Nice pickup!
Iconic image and likely Jones's most important mainstream comic work.
It does not get much better than this - fantastic!
My favorite Jones piece and one of the top-5 covers from DC's Bronze Age in my opinion. A simply sublime piece of comic art - I had a feeling that it would end up in your collection, congrats!!
Huge Congrats. CAF should be closed for uploading of new art the third Monday of August henceforth in observance of Jeff Jone's Wonder Woman #199 Day.
and Tom is crazy like a fox..where else can he get unlimited visitation rights?
Simply one of the greatest! Congratulations
One of my all-time favourites!
As a Marvel-only guy I have no context about this piece but I can see that it is stunning artistically. Museum quality
So out of place with the Golden Age art. 😉 All kidding aside, incredible cover art. Thanks for sharing!
Some glorious gothic 70's imagery! One of the most recognized Jones works. Who can refuse?
Killer Jones - a truly fine artist!
Quite a special piece. Congrats!
That's a banger, a classic, a grail!
Certainly one of the very best covers ever! Fine art at its most exquisite!
I'd heard in the 80s that lot of JCJ's work was supposedly severely damaged, so I'm very happy to see that this survived. This era of Wonder Woman (perhaps because of low circulation) was allowed to experiment in way not possible today. Those Jones covers were dark fantasy masterpieces even if they lacked any connection to the interiors, but the stories within them are quite unconventional as well.
Beautiful piece.
Top of the peak for Jones in mainstream comic art. Well done!
Wow! Why would someone sell this?! Congrats!!
comic art, fine art, hard to tell. Wonderful cover. The tilt of the eye of the executioner really gets me.
You win the internet today. A landmark piece. As I understand it, Jones submitted the piece, and then Sekowsky figured out how to write a story around it.
Great one!
goodness me- one of the truly Iconic covers of the 70s!
OMG this is my all time favorite Jones artwork 😍
Beautiful indeed! Wonder-ful acquisition
ADEQUATE!!!
One of the most beautiful pieces of comic art I ever laid eyes on! It looks beautiful on your wall Richard.
Dooooooppppppeee!!!!
Jone's masterpiece, congrats Richard!!!
Sockamagee!
Stunning. One of the very greatest of '70s covers, The gothic lighting is just perfect. Congrats!
Iconic illustration!! (Was it originally done for WW as such are just used later?)
