Description
The Rampage end page!
Okay, so it’s Rampage less in her roid rage and more in her bedridden recovery form—it’s still her! Rampage was another brand new Byrne original Superman villain, and a worthy opponent for the Last Son of Krypton. I remember when getting to this ending how much I thought Byrne really succeeded in recreating the vibe of the ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN TV show from the 50’s, where at the end of the episode, Lois (Noel Neill) would begrudgingly listen to Clark (George Reeves) explain away any notion that his disappearance during the crisis was questionable or could possibly support the crazy idea that he was Superman!
Preposterous I say!

Art from 1987 - 11x17.

You gotta like that Lois and Clark banter.  This is a page Byrne must have really wanted to write for himself.  Clark seems a little more dopey looking to play off the modern 80's fashion of Lois.

Sheer nostalgia on this page. I had almost forgotten how much I enjoyed these stories!

The last panel is even better if read in Rod Roddy's voice.

What I always like about Superman is the sheer ridiculousness in that no one can tell he is Clark Kent. The most unobservant people who ever lived.
