Description

When Chris's commission list opened in 2024 I knew exactly which cover recreations I'd like him to consider. I gave him the choice of two Barry Windsor Smith covers and he chose this one (You can probably guess the other).

He posted this a few months ago, so I knew how great it came out, but I didn't receive it until September 2025. Even better in hand.

As usual, I colored it and added a trade dress.

It's so cleanly crosshatched by Stevens that you can feel the woven and knitted textures! The different levels of tones these patterns create, adds a few layers of 3D!

Pretty damn cool. Chris takes this to a level beyond recreation by implementing his artistic/stylistic voice into it while still retaining the overall look of the BWS original. nicely done!
