Description
At the 2024 Windy City Pulp and Paper Convention, I picked up the original Roy Krenkel art used as the title page illo for the 1962 Ace edition of "Pellucidar" by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Unfortunately, it had seen loads of wear during its 62 years, including many stains. Earlier this year I took it to Tom Tomc at Art of Restoration to see what could be done, and I just picked up the restored piece earlier today. He did a great job; here are before and after scans.

Very cool as the linework was not affected at all.

Incredible restoration.  This gives hope to many compromised originals. Thanks for sharing, Doug!

Nice restoration work, Doug. But given that the blue vertical line has moved poitions on the paper, can I assume that's just some sort of glitch with your scanner?

Yes, it's just a scanner glitch.
