Nice Mon-El splash! Sorry to hear the actual book didn't work for you, I have not read it but I enjoy Lemire's writing on his creator owned stuff (like Sweet Tooth), haven't read much of his work when he was working with DC.
He is good on his own creations but it was obvious that he didn't know enough about these characters.
I've seen some Timothy Green Guardians of the Galaxy pages which were beautiful, but whoever this inker is seems to have been extremely heavy handed and made Green's fine lines completely disappear. The layout is cool, at least. Sorry to hear Lemire wrote Mon-El out of character. I, too, hate when writers do that!
