Description

Sinistrari's art gallery has an intruder: “I don't see anyone. Are you sure, Druj?”

“It's a presence, but not entirely human, and less than tangible. It could be one of Nikolaus' pathetic spoks, which would explain how it got in.”

“Impossible! My art collection is magically protected. No one can enter uninvited.”

“I saw her pass between the rows of paintings. A human-looking girl in modern clothes.”

“There she is!”

(The intruder is looking at the painting of the Infernal City of Eblis, previously damaged by Arioch's sword when Tesla got sucked into it. She sees Lady Druj.)

“It's a real scandal! Such a beautiful and ancient painting, and some vandal tore the canvas. This is truly incalculable damage to the art. I hope the closed circuit cameras have revealed the culprit! And I count on you catching him. You're responsible around here, I imagine, judging by your attire.”

“My…attire?”

“I see you're naked, but I'm not shocked by such a trivial thing. Your outfit is in keeping with the erotic-necrophilic inspiration of the great Sinistrari, of whom I am (if I may say so) the world's leading expert.”

“Are you kidding me? Who are you?”

“Oh, right! Art lovers should be on a first-name basis. My name is Tess… Tess O'Day. And you? Are you a model on her lunch break who can't find her locker? Or are you part of an art installation?”

Tess uses the familiar pronoun “tu” rather than the formal “lei” which would normally be appropriate when talking to a stranger, but it's consistent with her claims that art fans should speak as friends, not strangers. So true isn't it, art fans?

Lady Druj doesn't know who Tess O'Day is, but we have seen her before. Do you remember where?

The published, post-digital version of both pages adds the paintings to the blank canvasses, and also contains the word balloons. In the first panel, the effect of Sonderling looking out of the canvas into the gallery has been changed from speckling to wavy lines. Notice his self-portrait in the third panel also.

Additional hair was digitally added to cover Lady Druj's nipples in the second and third panels of page 37.

Showing Druj like this over several pages will probably win more than a few readers over to the dark side!

I think I'd literally be drooling all over the actual physical copy if I was picking up these issues as a regular reader for some of these Lady Druj panels. I do recall Tess O'Day showing up somewhere in one of the prior stories you posted but can't recall exactly where because you're posting like 52 pages a month on average from the series with 2 a day - I won't cheat by doing a search ;)
