Description

I chose to participate in the Mystery Sketch event for Comic Art Live 12 at the sketch card level. Cheap thrills and a little curiosity.

I requested the Golden Age Green Lantern, as I thought his colorful costume might prompt a colored sketch and it seems I played that right as Justin "Moritat" Norman pulled off a delightful full figure and full color piece (and nicely detailed for such a tiny work). This card stayed a surprise right up to the moment I opened the envelope, though I was already familiar with Moritat's work from All-Star Western.

And a piece of this Mystery Sketch remains a mystery. Why did he change the year to 2026?

Moritat is the right choice for the colorwork! They are more muted, dialed down, and have the aged look for a classic Alan Scott.
