Description

Fremont Main Library had three empty display cases this month. I was able to gather pieces for three displays featuring materials in the library collection. Leave It to Chance by James Robinson and Paul Smith. It�s a wonderful series about Chance Falconer who expects to take over from her father as the city�s protector against the supernatural. I have two drawings by Paul. It was one of my proudest moments at the library when I presented a couple stacks of prospective books to a committee meeting choosing children�s graphic novels some 25 years ago. These handsome Image oversize hardcover books, similar to Asterix and Tintin albums, were a huge hit. We had over thirty copies in our collection, but frequent loans also mean worn out books. I hunt gently used copies online and in used book stores and donate them to replenish the collection. I am so happy to bring attention to this wonderful series by James Robinson and Paul Smith.

Nice display! There should be a spot to read the books without checking them out.
