Star Squadron #1 Cover Art by Joe Bennett (Hulk, Captain America) Rippaverse

Over sized 12 x 19 approx. Pencils and inks on bristol with white out splatter for effect. Amazing detail!

All out action as 3 heroes battle a huge (hulk?) creature! Reminiscent of both the Avengers and the JLA.

I bought this via Joe's rep in South America earlier in 2025. I picked it up based on the image, the detail and the craziness of the action. It is a Rippaverse piece, as I identified the female as the flagship character Yaira. Further, and I only realized this just now.... it seems to be a complete homage to the iconic cover to Brave and the Bold #28 which was the first appearance of the Jla back in the 60's.

STARRO is swiped for the large Hulklike creature in the middle.

Manhunter in the bottom left is replaced with the boomerang wielding hero.

the Flash is a perfect swap for the speeder in the bottom right.

And Wonder woman perfectly replaces Yaira in the middle right of the image.

Might this be an upcoming release? Possibly. Could it have been an alternate cover for Trinity as an homage to the first appearance of the JLA. Very possible. Is it a crazy Joe Bennett piece that looks like he poured his heart and soul into more so than his work for the big 2? A definitive yes.
